2 Year Marriage Contract!

Have you all heard about Mexico City's proposed 2-year marriage contract? If you haven't, then read it here. This contract wants to change the marriage laws to allow newlyweds a "trial period" for their marriage. And after the trial period if the couple doesn't want to stay together they can walk away without needing a divorce. The bill is supposed to be an answer to the city's high divorce rate. With one supporter, Lizbeth Rosas, stating that it will decrease the "tortuous and bureaucratic" process--not to mention hefty court fees." I really wonder how this will work. It basically seems like you are saying to your mate that I love you but lets see if I still love you after 2 years. Oh ok.


While I don't push divorce, I think that decision should be left to the couple. Why should the government get involved? What do you think, is this a law you would stand behind or not?

Snooki is Officially Annoying!

Snooki is starting to get on my last nerve. The last few episodes have really been irking me. Her and Jionni are turning into the new Sam and Ronnie. And not to be mean, I kind of agree with Jionni. Nicole should not have lifted up shirt skirt and showed her cuca to everyone and God. If I was her boyfriend I would have been upset too! But I thought it was still pretty douche baggy of him to just leave her and to live the city as a whole. Like Jenni said he met the girl at a club acting slutty, what did he expect?

But I hope these two get over the drama soon because we don't need more Sam and Ron drama going on. We finally got those two to sit down and shut up. One problem with Nicole and Jionni is that they are total opposites of each other. He is more introvert, while she is more extrovert. We all know how opposites attract, but they need to know when to let go. Seriously!!!

Ladies and gentlemen, this song is why I do not like or appreciate new age rap music. Seriously in my opinion it is all garbage now. Now listen I was out yesterday and somebody pulled up beside and I heard this song playing and it really shocked me. So I looked it up when I got home, just to see who the artist was so I could write this blog about it. The song is "Goin' Steady" by Rocko (whoever that is). Law & Order:SVU Sans Christopher Meloni?

So how did you like last weeks season premiere of "Law & Order: SVU"? We were missing the incredibly hot New York cop, Christopher Meloni and were later informed of the officially exit of his character, Elliot Stabler. I have been a fan for many years now and could not imagine a show with him. He and Olivia, to me, are a complete set. The show would not have been so great if not for there chemistry together. So I had to adjust my mind to the fact that he was gone when I watched the episode.

I for one enjoyed the episode, but I still felt like it was missing some umph... You know what I mean? Well we will see how these new people work out. I know one thing for sure, there will never be another Benson and Stabler. So farewell Christopher Meloni. In the words of Dolly Parton and Whitney Houston- I will always love you!

Ricki Can Really Move It!

Ricki Lake scored a 23 in week 2 of "Dancing With the Stars"! That is so good. And I love that she is representing for the curvy girls. Not that I am a hater, but she totally kicks the butt of George Clooney's  skinny ex-girlfriend. Whatever her name is. lol. But for real her name is Elisabetta Canalis and she sucks. Take that. Anyway, go Ricki, go Ricki!

Computer Issues!

I guess it is about that time. I think I need a new laptop. My laptop has been really getting on my nerves recently and will not hold a charge for anything. If it is plugged into the charger, everything is fine but as soon as I unplug it everything goes down hill. It will say it is charged to 100% but then says I only have 50 minutes of power, but warns me of a low battery only 30 minutes in. I have no idea what is happening. Hopefully I just need a new ac adapter or battery because I don't want to buy a new laptop yet.

Does anyone have any knowledge of what the problem could be? I would really appreciate any suggestions :)

I Love Them, I Love Them Not!

Here I am again on a Monday night watching WWE "Raw" on USA and once again I am wondering why. lol. I know that it is pathetic to continue watching a show every week that you despise but I can't help it. When I was younger I used to love watching "Raw" and "Smackdown". I loved watching to see my fave wrestlers like Lita, Jeff Hardy, Randy Orton, Triple H, and a couple others. But things are so different now.

Not to get on a soapbox, but I especially hate how women are depicted. They act like the only thing girls can do is pillow fights and dance matches. What happened to the girls that really use to fight? Girls like Lita, Trish Stratus, and Chyna are so hard to find now. And don't get me started on the soap opera-like storylines. Every week it is the same lame story that has been used for years. I am just fed up.

I'm Going to the Jersey Floor!

Check out the latest "Jersey Floor" sketch from Late Night with Jimmy Fallon. In my opinion this one is way better than the others. Jimmy has Pauly D down to a science and the girl that mocks Sammi really shows how annoying she is. And it was so cool that most of the actual cast members appeared (all except Mike and Pauly D... boo). It shows that they can make fun of themselves and know just how ridiculous the The Jersey Shore is.

Dark Hair and Blue Eyes!

Move over blondes, you have some serious competition on your hands. It is no longer all about blonde hair and  blue eyes. There is a new craze going around and it is all about contrast. I am referring to the most dangerously beautiful combination God has ever created, dark hair and light blue eyes. Not saying that all hair and eyes combinations aren't beautiful., it's just that celebs like Ian Somerhalder and Megan Fox really make the light/dark combo work.

New and Improved...?

So I watched the first episode of  the new season of "Two and a Half Men" sans Charlie Sheen, and I really liked it. I think Ashton Kutcher is a great addition to the show and really brings the laughs. He was awesome on another one my shows "That 70's Show, so I know he has the comedy chops.  Hopefully the show last awhile and doesn't have a steep drop in ratings. So many other shows have failed when a main character leaves, but I see this show going the distance. Fingers crossed!

The 2011 Emmy's!!!

The Emmy's aired tonight and alot of my favorite shows won awards, while alot did not. One thing is for sure,  Modern Family is Emmy gold. They were the big winners of the night and that was okay because the show is funny. With that being said you would think that I was pleased with the event. NOT!

I waited and waited to hear them call out some of  the actors and actresses from my new favorite show, Sons of Anarchy. But as the show rolled on, I never heard it mentioned. Why didn't the show or it's actors get nominated? The show is awesome and could have easily beat some of the shows that were nominated. Also, I was upset that Late Night with Jimmy Fallon did not win an award. Jimmy is so cute and so funny. I don't know of a better combination. But anyway I am done griping. What did you think of the ceremony? Did your favorite shows and actors win?

My Nephew!

Here is a picture of my nephew, Brayden. My sister recently gave birth to her first child and I am so excited that I decided to share his newborn photo. Isn't he beautiful? Since I live in Tennessee and my sister lives in Wisconsin, I haven't held him yet, but I cannot wait to see him in person and kiss his little cheeks!

Well this sucks!!! An hour ago I caught Charlie Sheen on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno and he was... normal. He was not the crazy erratic Charlie we have grown to love/hate. And this made me mad because now I cannot totally laugh at all of the jokes going to be made on his Comedy Central Roast. He no longer seems like an irrational douche bag, but now seems like a guy trying to get his life together, and nothing is funny about that. So here's to Charlie ruining my this coming Monday night for me.

Comedy Central Roast of Charlie Sheen!

I  had been hearing from a few people that Comedy Central is going to roast Charlie Sheen, so I had to look into it. And for sure it is going to happen. The event is set to air on Monday September 19 at 10/9c, and it is going to be hilarious. I am so ready to see the train wreck we call Charlie Sheen finally hear how everyone really feels about him. So make sure you set your DVRs for this magical event!

True Blood Season 4 Finale!!!

Didn't the season just start up? It seems like just yesterday that the True Blood season was just beginning and now it is already the season finale. That's right everyone, you better watch tomorrows episode because it will have to hold you over until Summer 2012, when season 5 starts. That seems like forever! Anyway, enough with my whining,  here is the promo for the episode. What will you do to fight off those True Blood cravings while it is on break?

"Contagion" Review!

Today I went to see "Contagion" and I was slightly let down. From the trailers, I thought I was in for some really good action and a good story line, but that did not happen. Now I know everyone has different taste in movies, so this movie might be good for you, but in my opinion I would say skip it. And I am so sorry to say it. The movie seemed promising with a cast including Kate Winslet, Gwyneth Paltrow, Matt Damon, Jude Law, and Laurence Fishburne and plus it was an epidemic film, which usually goes over well. But the movie seemed to go on forever and nothing. It was so bad that my brother went to sleep! Seriously. And the movie went the "Scream" way and killed of some important actors early in the movie. So needless to say I was bummed when the credits started rolling and nothing spectacular had happened.

All-in-all I give this movie a 2 out of 5. The only good thing that came out of this movie was showing me I should wash my hands a little more. It really was a waste of time and was surely not good enough to knock "The Help" from the number 1 spot.

Favorite Sons of Anarchy Characters!

So I have recently become obsessed with S.O.A. I know I am late getting on the band wagon, but from the name of the show and the brief clips I've seen on TV, I thought it was going to be about some lame supremacy group or something. And man was I wrong. So I have been on my computer catching up on seasons 1-3 so I can be caught up with the new season that just started.

I have almost completed all the previous seasons, but there is one thing that bothers me. I cannot pick my favorite character. I know I don't have to chose one character to like, but that is what I normally do. Usually I watch a show and immediately pick who is going to be my favorite and stick with them through the whole series, but not with this show. I have flipped and flopped so many times that my head is spinning. So I have decided I can more than 1.

Here my current Top 5 S.O.A characters.

1. Chibs - Cute and I so love his Scottish accent and scars

2. Jax- Very California-Boy cute and so rugged... Kinda has a Brad Pitt/ Kurt Cobain thing working for him

3. Bobby Elvis - Level-headed and loyal to the group

4. Tig - Sometimes can be kinda sick, but deep down seems very caring

5. Juice- Once again cute. He seems very simple(in a good and bad way), but seems very sweet.

"The Help"!

Hey everyone! Sorry I have been gone for awhile, but school has just started and I have been trying to get back in the groove of things. But anyway, I am back and I have to tell you guys to go see "The Help" if you have not already. I cannot put into words how great this movies was. What I can say is that I laughed, I cried, and even got a little angry, but I left the theater with a warm and fuzzy feeling that comes after viewing such a great movie.

Just in case you are wondering what this movie is about I can give you a quick explanation. First thing you need to know is that the movie stars Emma Stone, Viola Davis, and Bryce Dallas Howard, just to name a few. Then, you need to know that it takes place in Jackson , MS during the Civil Rights era in the early 1960's. Now, I can tell you a little about the movie. Basically the story is about Skeeter (Emma Stone) who is a writer and how she is determined to write a book to tell the story of Black maids and their White employers, and all the racism that is going on during this time in America. And while doing this alot of wacky and alot of serious things happen. But I don't want to tell too much.

So not to spoil the movie for you, I will now shut up and show you the trailer for the movie. Please go see "The Help". You will not regret it!
