Did anyone catch the Lifetime movie "The Pastor's Wife" last night based on the Mary Winkler trial? It starred Rose McGowan as Mary Winkler. And if you don't remember Mary Winkler, she was a Selmer, TN woman who was on trial in 2006 for killing her husband who happened to be a pastor.
The movie took us through the events of the day of the murder, how she was caught, and her testimony on all of the abuse she suffered. Now I have no idea how close to the real thing this movie was, this movie made me feel for Mary. This lady went through so much. Her husband physically, mentally, verbally, and sexually abused her and she took it and stood beside him. And no one wanted to believe a pastor would be like that so they did not believe her side of the story.
