So it is an understatement to say that this tragedy has hit me hard. I am praying for the lives affected by this storm and I pray that they will be able to pick up the pieces of their lives. May God be with them. #PrayForOklahoma <3

#Pray For Oklahoma
I have been watching and reading news reports all day about the tornado that ripped through Oklahoma. And it hit me hard that it could easily be anyone including me and my family. Watching those people that lost everything and hearing that so many little kids lost their lives is really messing with me. Questions are going through my mind. Are we prepared? Where would we go? What would we do? Memphis sees this type of weather all the time. And as I write this post, a tornado warning is in affect and news reporters are warning us to be prepared. So this is really getting to me.

Are We Safe Anywhere?
This morning when I checked Twitter, I discovered that there was a mass shooting in Colorado. So I started reading tweets from everyone. And I found out that a man, James Holmes, who was studying for Ph.D in Neuroscience, opened fire in a Colorado movie theater and killed 12 people and injured 59 others. This really hit me hard and felt too close for comfort. Not that I live in Colorado or even close, but close because of the venue where the shootings took place.
The fact that this all went down in a movie theater, really made me uneasy. I love going to the movies and consider myself a frequent movie-goer. So when I read that someone shot up a place that I go to alot, it freaked me out. Movie theaters are already dark, creepy, and boxed in, now we have to worry about getting shot?
But on a real serious note, I am praying for the victims and their families. Who every expects to be killed or injured in a presumably safe place like a theater? Is anywhere safe these day? We all really need to pray!

Whitney Houston Passes Away!
Reports are hitting the web that legendary singer Whitney Houston passed away today at the age of 48. The are no details on what caused her death, but some people are guessing it was due to drugs.
I sure hate to believe that drugs were involved but it is likely. Maybe she relapsed. But some good news has come from this, it is being said that they might try to throw together a tribute for Whitney at tomorrow’s Grammy Awards. And she deserves it. Even though her life was a little bumpy towards the end, she was an amazing singer and a beautiful person.

Michael Jackson Autopsy Photos!
When I woke up this morning and got on my computer, the first thing I saw was a story involving the Michael Jackson trial. And then I saw a headline that read: Michael Jackson's Autopsy. I thought it was going to be a story on what they found during the procedure so the jury can make a decision about Dr. Murray's guilty, but instead there was a picture of his dead body. The first thought I had was "wow he looked horrible, super skinny, and pale when he died", then I thought "shut up Destiny how would you look if you were dead", then I thought "wow these people are pretty bogus for putting this picture out here like that." Yes, I went through 3 levels of emotions...

Steve Jobs Dies!
Today is such a sad day. I just found out about the death of Apple founder, Steve Jobs. I knew something was wrong when he resigned in August, but this is so sudden. And to think some people were questioning his decision to resign and talking bad about him. We did not know how sick he was. He will forever be remember for creating some of the most groundbreaking technology ever. My prayers are with his wife and his family.
