These days it is hard to talk about discipline without people thinking of you as a child abuser. Discipline and abuse are often used as interchangeable words and they couldn’t be anymore different. So what is the difference?

What are Bath Salts?

It really is scary, because statistics are showing that more and more people are trying bath salts. This statistic scares me because if this is how people act on this drug, then God have mercy! We might have a zombie apocalypse on our hands.

My Battle With Anxiety
Over this past year, I have developed an anxiety problem. It all started with tingling and numbness and half my face going numb. While I thought I was having a stroke or heart attach, I finally came to the conclusion that stress was causing my problems.

Worries of a College Senior
Ok, so I am heading into my last year of college and I find myself having some serious doubts. I like my major and all(which is Computer Science), but I feel as though I am not prepared enough to be able to find a job in my field. Is that a common thought among college grads? Lately, all I can think about is whether I remember all of my programming languages like Java, C++, and VB.Net. And it drives me to a panic attack sometimes, causing my to wonder if I chose the right major.
Like I said above, I love my major and I am doing well in all of my programming classes, but the worry is still there. Is this normal? Or am I just thinking too much?

Memphis “Check Engine” Light Fiasco
If you live within Memphis City Limits and plan on going through inspection soon, make sure to check your “check engine” light before you head out. The city of Memphis and the EPA have put into affect a practice that will automatically fail you if your light is on.
Obvious to say, people are upset. And I don’t blame them. If you have an older model car like me, then you know those darn “check engine” lights will come on and stay on for many things. So what are we suppose to do? Pay loads of money to a mechanic to find the issue? Catch a bus, when we all know that MATA sucks or catch a cab that is way too high? And I don’t understand why we still have to go through inspection. I have learned a lot of place don’t even inspect cars, including people who live close to us in the county. How messed up is that?
I don’t know what will happen with this new practice. I think it will cause more people to drive around with expired tags. One thing I know for sure, a lot of Memphians want this practice gone.

Is Music Too Sexy These Days?
I sure think so. Everything is about “I’m gonna do this to you” and “I want you to lick that.” I just want to listen to a plain song about everyday things and not feel sexually harassed. And is it so bad to have a song that I can listen to around my mother without becoming insanely uncomfortable.
I still remember when pure talent was enough to sell records. There was not a big need for graphic lyrics and half- nakedness. And if an artist did want to make a song with sexual themes, they would at least camouflage it in a witty and unassuming way. And we never knew what they were talking about until we got older and took another listen. What ever happened to being cute and coy, and leaving something for the imagination?

Kelly Clarkson Supports Ron Paul!
…and people are not taking to kindly to her endorsement. Yesterday, Kelly tweeted her support of Ron Paul by stating:
"I love Ron Paul. I liked him a lot during the last Republican nomination and no one gave him a chance. If he wins the nomination for the Republican party in 2012 he's got my vote. Too bad he probably won't."This did not go over well with fans and others on Twitter. They also took to Twitter to speak out against Kelly and claimed that she supports a racist and a homophobe. Kelly quickly tried to clear things up with an apology:

Update on FX and DirecTV Drama!
DirecTV just sent out an email letting customers know that they have come to an agreement with News Corp./Fox. And they have decided not to interrupt service and are keeping all the channels on air. Woohoo!!! I guess both parties understood that they would have some upset customers on their hands. Now I can sit back and enjoy Sons of Anarchy without worry.

Drug Testing Welfare Recipients
In my honest opinion, the testing would not matter if they do the testing only once before they start. I don't know how the system works, but they could easily get over on that system. One thing I believe would help would be a money budgeting class that would offer better ways to spend money and food stamps. Too many times do I wait in line behind people with 2 carts full of nothing but junk food and see them pay with EBT cards. And I am not downing them either. If you need assistance, get it, just don't stay on it forever.
