Is Music Too Sexy These Days?

I sure think so. Everything is about “I’m gonna do this to you” and “I want you to lick that.” I just want to listen to a plain song about everyday things and not feel sexually harassed. And is it so bad to have a song that I can listen to around my mother without becoming insanely uncomfortable.

I still remember when pure talent was enough to sell records. There was not a big need for graphic lyrics and half- nakedness. And if an artist did want to make a song with sexual themes, they would at least camouflage it in a witty and unassuming way. And we never knew what they were talking about until we got older and took another listen. What ever happened to being cute and coy, and leaving something for the imagination?

Nicki Minaj: Setting Women Back One Video at a Time!

I don’t like Nicki Minaj at all so this might be a little biased. But if you have not seen the train wreck know as “Stupid Hoe” then you are one of the lucky few. I must say, in my opinion the song and video are tacky and very basic. One time in the song she disses Jennifer Aniston by talking about Angelina Jolie stealing Brad Pitt. Disgusting, right?

Everybody involved with this mess needs to be slapped. Who told her this song was going to be popular? Not her fans obviously, because everybody hates it. Have you seen the comments and dislikes this video has received on YouTube. They are killing Nicki on her Vevo Channel. This is my first time seeing a video with a higher dislike count then likes. The last time I looked the dislikes were: 106,111 and likes: 59,726. I think she might want to take this video off the web because it is derogatory and embarrassing for herself and women in general.

Beyoncé Rents Out Hospital Floor?!?!

If this story is true, then celebrities are really getting out of hand these days. And the hospital that went along with this is so wrong. How can some rent a whole floor of a hospital? I thought hospitals were for everyone, not the highest bidder. And what about other patients that needed to give birth, were they turned away? That is a shame.

I just don’t understand why Beyoncé needed the whole floor and such crazy security measures. If she was that concerned about everything couldn’t she just have had her baby at home? Gosh! Who do they think they are? This made me look at both Jay-Z and Beyoncé differently. This proves how America is turning into a crazy, money hunger country that will do anything for a buck. Seriously!

Amber Cole Controversy!

Oh my goodness! I have no idea what is going on with these kids these days, so all I can say is wow! And I hate that this happened in my city of Memphis. We are getting such a bad wrap as of lately. First the high crime rate, then the drastic teen pregnancy spike and now this 14-year old girl, Amber Cole, is caught on tape performing oral sex AT school. Yep, I said at school. But the worst thing of all was the fact that 2 other boys were there and she willing let them tape her performing the act. She had to know it was going to go viral, everything goes viral these days, ugh!

Now I know there will be people who say "well we all did stupid things like that when we were young," but is that any reason to approve this? No! And then we wonder why the teen pregnancy and STD rates are so high. If adults are saying it is normal, then we already what the kids going to think.

To end this post I have one last thing to say. I sure hate it that people are sending the video around to everyone. First of all, that is a disgusting and mean thing to do(even if she did allow it). Second of all, it is child pornography. The girl is only 14 years old. So please people stop spreading the video.

Tattoos & Dating!

Why do people do this? Tattooing someone's name on you is just so... permanent. And it is the best way of breaking up a relationship. Seriously, if you really think about it, do people ever stay with that person whose name they tatted on them? Very rarely. And not everyone has the money to get the tattoo lasered off, so how fair is it to move on to the next person and leave them with the task of looking at another woman or man's name on your body?

So to show that special someone you care, just buy them some flowers or something instead of tattooing their name on you, it will be so much easier come break-up time. Seriously!

Snooki is Officially Annoying!

Snooki is starting to get on my last nerve. The last few episodes have really been irking me. Her and Jionni are turning into the new Sam and Ronnie. And not to be mean, I kind of agree with Jionni. Nicole should not have lifted up shirt skirt and showed her cuca to everyone and God. If I was her boyfriend I would have been upset too! But I thought it was still pretty douche baggy of him to just leave her and to live the city as a whole. Like Jenni said he met the girl at a club acting slutty, what did he expect?

But I hope these two get over the drama soon because we don't need more Sam and Ron drama going on. We finally got those two to sit down and shut up. One problem with Nicole and Jionni is that they are total opposites of each other. He is more introvert, while she is more extrovert. We all know how opposites attract, but they need to know when to let go. Seriously!!!
