Mixing Religion and Marriage

I was reading a TMZ article on Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes' divorce today and at the end of the article they polled readers on whether religion was a huge factor in a marriage. And to my surprise most people said yes. I also answered yes. How can you be married to someone who doesn't believe in what you believe in and the other way around? That is a disaster waiting to happen. 

When I say I was shocked by this poll, I am telling the truth.. These days people marry for the heck of it and never really consider other factors like number of kids desired, living situations, money, and of course religion. And all these factors are very important and can seriously put a strain on any relationship. 

I know that as a devout Christian, I could never marry someone who doesn't share my faith. It will not work and will be just plain awkward. But that is my opinion. Some multi-faith couples go on to lead happy lives together, while others don't. Celeb couples like Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes, Katy Perry and Russell Brand are showing us that religion should be a factor we discuss a little more in relationships.

Wilmer Valderrama Likes Them Young!

Almost too young. Today I just found out that he and Demi Lovato broke up. Wait, but did anyone even know they were a couple? I sure didn’t. Seems like Fez likes them fresh out off of Disney and might even be a creeper.

Also, didn’t he used to date Lindsey Lohan before all the craziness? This guy really has a type and sticks to it. He likes them young, naïve, and heading to rehab. Or he is the cause of all the rehab. Maybe he is the one bringing these girls down. Huhm… 

Katy Perry & Russell Brand Divorce!

After much speculation, the truth comes out today. News sites are reporting that Russell Brand has filed for divorce from Katy Perry. One year and a few months into their marriage and these two have gone the way of so many other celebs. Russell released a statement about the divorce:

"Sadly, Katy and I are ending our marriage. I'll always adore her and I know we'll remain friends"

Yeah, yeah, yeah. They always say they will remain friends and then a month later all hell will break lose and all the dirty secrets will just roll out.

But sad to say I knew this would not work. They were just so different. Mainly religiously. She is a devout Christian who grew up in church and has a minister father. He on the other hand is not and probably tried really hard to not say how stupid her beliefs were everyday.

Anyway he’s hot(well to me), she’s hot, and they will probably jump into meaningless relationships as soon as the ink dries. Cheers!

Yes, after 2 months of wedded bliss, Kim K and Kris Humpries have decided to part ways. Who would have thought these crazy kids would end up getting divorced? Umm... everyone. No offense but they did not seem to mesh well together. They seemed so awkward together.
